Dan and Meaghan were married on June 16th, with a ceremony at St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church and a reception at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Dan actually proposed to Meaghan after they’d gone to his mother’s house for his birthday. After the celebration, he spent the time telling her how amazing he thought she was and then got down on one knee in the middle of their apartment when it was just the two of them.
I was particularly excited because I got to do their engagement photos at Allaire State Park before the wedding, and we got to go back there for some wedding pictures as well. It’s the most adorable little town with historic buildings and working shops—including a bakery where the bridal party stopped for some treats while Meaghan and Dan were finishing up their portraits!

Throughout the wedding day, my second shooter, Amanda, and I were struck by just how many personal details these two had poured into the day. They had the cutest vow books from which they read their personal vows, for example. And then they had their favorite movie posters at the tables for the guests—with many of my favorite movies, in fact! It’s no wonder we got along so well! There were lots of great Disney nods and even a Star Wars reference on their champagne flutes! I loved it! And then, at the end of the night, there was a make-your-own cheeseburger bar and pork roll station. It was the perfect late-night snack for my ride back home!
Of course, I couldn’t possibly blog about this wedding without gushing about the Crystal Point. Everything there was breathtaking, from the views of the water and the docks to the decorations to the chandeliers! I also loved the live band for this reception—they really knew how to throw a party!
