Josh and Katie were married on September 29th, with a ceremony at the Saint Peter Parish and a reception at the Urban Room at the Omni William Penn Hotel.
This Pittsburgh wedding was led by our associate photographer, Lizzy! Manny was her second for the day. Lizzy and I met Josh and Katie last fall for their engagement session—on Josh’s birthday! That’s how you know that it’s true love: you’re willing to spend your birthday being a good sport for the camera. Anyway, after that session, we all knew going in that this bride and groom would be so much fun to photograph!
Katie and Josh’s Omni William Penn Hotel Wedding
Originally, Josh and Katie were planning to get married over at PNC Park (which we love!). But unfortunately, a few months before the wedding, there was a planning debacle. The park had a scheduling conflict, and Josh and Katie had to change Pittsburgh wedding venues. Thankfully, everything worked out, because they were able to get into the iconic Omni William Penn Hotel. Not only that, but their wedding reception was held in the stunning Urban Room. Just wait until you see the first dance photos!
Lizzy and Manny were able to do some cool portraits of Josh and Katie both inside and out the hotel for an end of the night shoot. Pittsburgh’s city streets provided the perfect backdrop for these wedding portraits! I’m so glad that things were able to work out for them and that they were still able to get a beautiful venue.
