Keith & Julia’s Twelve Oaks Mansion Wedding

Keith and Julia were married on July 21^st, with a ceremony at St. Peter’s Reformed Church (website) and a reception at Twelve Oaks Mansion (website).

These two are extraordinary together! We laughed the entire time they were taking pictures, especially when they were willing to climb a waterfall for me during their engagement session. As you can tell, these two are always up for an adventure, and that meant my second shooter, Kristy, and I were along for an epic ride on the day of their wedding.

Although these two live in Buffalo, they wanted to have their ceremony in Julia’s hometown church. There was a real feeling of warmth and homecoming not only at the church but during the photo session, when we took pictures at the same places Julia took her senior photos! And yet even with all of those nods to her childhood, these two waved a literal Buffalo flag with pride! They were a lot of fun!

In fact, these two had me laughing during their exit from the church with the most amazing confetti exit! It was the best high-flying confetti and seriously floated through the air for five minutes! It was magic!

I also loved the sunset photos at Twelve Oaks Mansion. That venue is beautiful on its own, but it has one of the most amazing vantage points for sunset pictures that we knew we had to take advantage of. Those pictures were some of my favorites of the whole day. Add to that Joel Lindsey as not only the DJ but a live performer and the reception was just as much fun as the ceremony!

Julia & Keith, thank you for a day full of laughter and adventures! It was a joy to be your wedding photographer. I know you two will be amazing together!
