Cody and Caitlyn were married on September 8^th 2018, with a ceremony and reception at Succop Nature Park in Butler, Pennsylvania.

A Rainy Succop Nature Park Wedding

These two are amazingly calm and collected—even when Mother Nature seemed to be conspiring against them! They had hoped to have their ceremony outside in front of the willow tree and lake, but the rain forced us under the pavilion instead. It was raining all day!

But that couldn’t stop Cody and Caitlyn. They were up for everything I asked of them, including a first look with umbrellas in the rain. We even did all the photos outside, despite the weather! It didn’t matter to them, because they knew what was really important about their wedding day. They had their flower dog, they had their family, and they had each other. That was all that mattered!

The ceremony was one of the best parts of the day, hands down. Everyone’s faces were wet—and not just from the rain. There were MANY tears of joy.

And it wasn’t just Cody and Caitlyn that handled the weather like champs. The girls all had beautiful white gowns that complemented Caitlyn’s SO well. Together, they braved the weather to stick with their friends. And the groomsmen helped out by carrying the cake to the pavilion with an umbrella to protect it from the rain! There was so much love through this wedding.

Cody & Caitlyn, thank you for being willing to adventure out into the rain and create some truly memorable photographs! I especially loved the night shot in the rain! Thanks also to my second shooter, Angie, for being so amazing! It was such an honor to be your rainy day wedding photographer.
