Kelli & Adam’s Shannopin Country Club Wedding

Kelli and Adam were married in a beautiful wedding at the Shannopin Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA. It was a gorgeous day filled with happiness as we celebrated this sweet couple and the love they share. It was such a pleasure to be the wedding photographer for Kelli and Adam’s elegant wedding day.

Getting Ready at the Hotel Monaco

When I first started talking to Kelli and Adam, we started talking about possible locations for their engagement session, they suggested, “How about where we first met?”

Curious, I asked them, “Okay, so where did you first meet?” I about died when they told me they first met at Idlewild! How ADORABLE is that?? For those of you who don’t know, Idlewild is a family-friendly classic amusement park in Pittsburgh. I was SO excited to photograph their fun engagement session, and I knew their wedding day would be filled with so much love.

The day began at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh where everyone got ready. The Hotel Monaco is a stunning hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh and has the most unique rooms and suites. Taking pictures in Kelli’s well-appointed suite was such fun. I found so many inspiring backgrounds to photograph some of the wedding details of the day like her AMAZING Badgley Mischka heels!

Kelli and Adam had a romantic first look on the hotel roof. It was just the two of them and their love against the Pittsburgh skyline. I loved the sweet excitement that these two shared ahead of their ceremony. They couldn’t take their eyes off one another!

We layered in the bridal party for some additional formal wedding photos. I loved how Kelli had her bridesmaids wear varying shades of pinks, reds and burgundy! It created such a rich and sophisticated look, especially when combined with the groom and groomsmen in their sharp navy suits.

Kelli and Adam took full advantage of the Hotel Monaco for their wedding portraits. From the top to the bottom, we found so many spots to take portraits. I loved how many different backgrounds we found for formal photos. From the huge windows to colorful upholstery, the Hotel Monaco was full of memorable spots. But really, nothing was more beautiful than the love between the bride and groom. Honestly, every look and every smile were so filled with love and mutual admiration for each other. These two are just so cute together.

A Romantic Outdoor Ceremony at Shannopin Country Club

When it was time for the ceremony, we headed to the Shannopin Country Club. The sun dipped down on the horizon and the lawn was lit with this beautiful golden glow. My wedding photographer heart soared! The light was beautiful to set the stage for Adam and Kelli to say “I do.” Even though they’d been together in the morning, when Kelli started down the aisle, Adam looked up at her with so much emotion. It was beautiful.

After the ceremony, I stole the bride and groom (now husband and wife!) away for some more pictures at the country club. The Shannopin Country Club has beautiful, rolling green lawns. Kelli and Adam were so happy as we strolled down green pathways, soaking in their first sunset as man and wife.

Then, it was time to celebrate! Everyone had so much fun dancing. It was truly a celebration of two lives coming together.
