On July 16th I met up with Katie and Stephen at Allegheny Park and the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh, PA to photograph their engagement session. I loved spending time photographing this couple’s sweet engagement portraits and I can’t wait for their upcoming University Club wedding!

Allegheny Park Engagement Photography

I met these two over at the Allegheny Commons park to start their engagement session! They brought their adorable pup with them, too… So, really… we did family portraits, not just engagement portraits!! I love the fur babies! Stephen proposed to Katie at Allegheny Park, so it had a lot of special, emotional significance to this couple. We had a ton of fun. Plus, the park is simply beautiful this time of year. With its acres of walking paths, beautiful old trees, and interesting stone walls, it’s a perfect setting for engagement photos. I loved taking pictures of these two lovebirds walking down by the water. You can tell with the way they look at each other exactly how in love they are!

Mexican War Streets Portrait Session

After we had a blast wandering around Allegheny Park, we headed across the street to the Mexican War Streets just as the sun was starting to set. Despite the name, the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh is a charming, historic area. The beautiful old row-homes and quaint tree-lined streets give this entire neighborhood a historic look and feel that was perfect for engagement photos! The light was just right as Katie and Stephen strolled through the neighborhood and I grabbed some sweet sunset photos of the two of them.
